Just touched down on earth and it turns out it’s a bit of a shithole - it’s populated by fleshy people who love sending emails, and their dogs only have two eyes. Weird. Let’s stay.
This collection is for the outsiders; for those alien moments where everything feels not-quite-normal, as if virtual reality became actual reality, a feeling triggered when you accidentally trip into a new dimension…or when a family member asks you when you’re going to settle down. This two-part collection explores that other-wordly feeling of being the outsider through a sci-fi lens. Because let’s be honest, aliens would hate it here.
For this campaign we wanted to give a vintage sci-fi/horror movie feel to the campaign, deciding to shoot on a VHS camera to give a sort of ‘documenting earth’s invasion’ style, and giving the model’s figures a glowing and almost ethereal energy.
We teleported over to South London’s Burgess Park where photographer Emma shot models Anna and Isaac amongst the greenery and tarmac, creating an uncanny feel with the setting, complimented by the gloomy lighting provided by the typically shit British weather.
To bring this collection to life we beamed in both Funeral French and Bone Jelly, who lent their illustrative talents to multiple pieces across the collection; French’s emo, ghoulish and skeletal designs are heavily featured in the first drop, across styles including a monochrome skelly jumpsuit, a matching tracksuit set, and shirts both of the tee and button up variety. Bone Jelly’s unmissable Rat Snacks print will appear on a cardigan in drop two, with the design referencing an alternate existence where rats rule.
