Lazy Hotel - Meet The Residents: Leggy and Rhea
We’re checking in & checking out with Leggy, who stars in our campaign for Lazy Hotel and his girlfriend Rhea.
@harotana @rheawpadua
Hello & welcome to Lazy Hotel. Leggy, please tell us a little bit about Rhea…
L: Rhea is the UK's next top model. Big man in the paint. She models and loves all things creative. Fine as hell with a stinking attitude. That’s a joke, she’s lush really.
And Rhea can you do the same for Leggy?
R: Leggy, a man of many talents. Best frontman (besides Freddie Mercury) of his band ‘The Rotanas’, future cover star of GQ, an artist at heart and a hippie poet.
If you weren’t both modelling, what do you think you would be doing?
L: Music still, always will, but not much else to be honest. Exciting, I know.
R: Anything I can create. I’d create a fashion brand or a fashion magazine.
Can you let us know how you both met?
L: Instagram haha, tragic i know. We met just before the pandemic, so we didn't get to meet for like 3 months, but we talked every day on facetime. She thought i was an absolute legend, couldn't get enough of me. After the three or so months we broke restrictions to meet (oops) and have stuck together since, we live together as well, which is class and yes, it was fast, say it with your chest or dont say at all, hey.
R: Instagram, he slid into my dm’s, i’m so glad he did. We’re a pandemic couple, we talked everyday on ft for around 3 months, we then broke the rules to finally meet and we now live together. I love that we’re always around one another.
First holiday post Covid, where are you checking in?
Both: Hawaii
What’s your go to mini bar pick?
L: Something strong.
R: Anything exotic, Piña colada is always a shout
What’s on your plate at the breakfast buffet?
L: The lot.
R: Eggs, bacon, pancakes & maple syrup pls.
It’s time to order room service...what’s on the dream menu?
L: Something full of flavour, maybe mexican. Or chicken and waffles, really, really unhealthy but really, really great.
R: My mum’s cooking, anything from mother mae’s classic dishes to her cupcakes and viennese swirls for dessert.
Entertain us with your most embarrassing holiday story?
L: Skinny dipping in France, turned round bearing all to a restaurant on the beach, smashing.
R: I actually can’t think of one.
Where’s your most top rated stay?
L: Thailand was nuts, also New York was cool, but i stayed in a dead hotel haha.
R:The motherland, the Philippines, always.
Tell us about the worst place you’ve ever stayed…
L: Haha the adelphi in Liverpool, absolute dive.
R: Adelphi in Liverpool. It reminds me of that hotel in american horror story, ‘Cecil Hotel’ in LA (Stay on main hotel).
Ever jumped on stage to sing karaoke at the hotel bar? Any renditions of Angels by Robbie Williams?
L: Haha no, but I have done angels by robbie williams. Club classic.
R: When I was about 5 or 6 years old, I was with my grandparents and I sang & danced with a houseband, pretty sure it was a song by Santana.
Have you ever left an angry Tripadvisor review?
L: No i'm not an arsehole, haha nah i just cant be arsed.
R:No haha, not yet.
What 3 songs are on your holiday playlist?
L: I probably should say my band @therotanas, but, No Rain - Blind Melon, The Rolling People - The Verve, Cumberland Gap - David Rawlings
R: No Rain - Blind Melon, Dreams - The Cranberries, My Sweet Lord - George Harrison.
Hotel, motel or Holiday Inn?
L: Pitbull needs locking up.
R: A motel, very rock & roll, one in Arizona by Route 66.
Favourite place to stay in London?
L: My future home.
R: There were people from the city having lunch in the park, I believe that it's called al fresco.
Do you have any under the radar holiday hot tips or recommendations?
L: Nah im terrible at holidaying
R: Try ‘tokyo tokyo’, a japanese fast food place in the Philippines.
Any last words...
L: Las Rotanas hasta que muera. I actually am a lazy oaf.
R:Party on Wayne.
