What started with hand-printed T-shirts sold from a stall in East London has now become an established independent brand, with creativity, collaboration and community at its heart. Lazy Oaf is primarily a DTC brand with retail space in London.
Marketing Comms Manager at Oaf
At Lazy Oaf our Marketing Comms Manager is instrumental in expanding and retaining our community and maintaining our position at the forefront of creative and experiential marketing.
What will you be doing?
RESPONSIBILTIES
Community Engagement & Development
Research, identify, and build relationships with new creatives, ambassadors, and collaborators aligned with Lazy Oaf’s ethos.
Lead the operational aspects of the ambassador program, managing product flow, seeding activations, and ensuring a seamless brand experience for collaborators.
Organize and host in-store activations, community-focused events, and experiential campaigns
Collaborate with internal teams to plan and produce community-driven digital content, physical activations, and content shoots.
Social Media & Content Strategy
Develop and manage social media strategies to grow our community and increase engagement, focusing on Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
Oversee content creation in partnership with the creative team, ensuring alignment with brand tone and objectives.
Implement a test-and-learn approach to optimize strategies, leveraging analytics to inform decisions.
Lead community management efforts, maintaining Lazy Oaf’s distinct voice across platforms and responding to customer interactions thoughtfully.
Public Relations & Media Management
Craft press releases, pitches, and look-books for new collections and brand campaigns.
Maintain and grow relationships with journalists, stylists, and collaborators through regular communication and meet-ups.
Manage press loans, track samples, and oversee media outreach efforts.
Lead the execution of international press strategies and pitching to media outlets across fashion, music, arts, and business sectors.
Monitor and report on press coverage, generating actionable insights for leadership.
Event Planning & Execution
Support and manage community event production, from ideation to post-event reporting.
Reporting & Analytics
Monitor and analyse social media, press, and campaign performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
Use social media platform tools to generate insights and measure the success of PR and community activities.
Collaborate with teams to align strategies with market trends, customer data, and channel performance insights.
You will probably already have ...
Proven experience in community management, social media strategy, PR or event planning within a creative or fashion-focused brand.
Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and consistency in tone.
Demonstrable experience in activations that make an impact.
Proficiency in tools such as Canva as well as social media analytics platforms
Highly organized, with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
A passion for fostering creative communities and building meaningful relationships.
Line Management experience.
