The Flintstones™ x Lazy Oaf
"Flintstones, meet the Flintstones, they're the modern stone-age family … from the, town of Bedrock, they're a page right out of history …"
Stone-age style meets streetwear as Lazy Oaf teams up with The Flintstones, to create an 18-piece menswear and womenswear collection that pays homage to the classic 1960’s cartoon.
Inspired by vintage Flintstones memorabilia, eighties and nineties knitting patterns and purposeful print clashing, the collection features laser cut raw hems, animal print and hand-dyed techniques on jersey and denim to give a DIY stone-age feel. Mixing streetwear silhouettes with recognisable elements from the cartoon, adding bone shaped zip pulls and stone-shaped swing tags to create a capsule range that reflects the distinctive Bedrock aesthetic.
Produced by Hanna-Barbera, The Flintstones was the first ever animated series to be broadcast in a primetime slot. An American sixties sitcom with a prehistoric twist, the show featured a cast of caveman characters in the town of Bedrock, living a ‘modern’ lifestyle with cars, commutes and record players. Centered around the Flintstones (Fred Flintstone, his wife Wilma, daughter Pebbles, and pet dinosaur Dino) and their neighbours The Rubbles, (Barney, Betty and Bamm-Bamm), the show follows the families’ misadventures, with bumbling Fred and Barney as the ultimate affable oafs
In Fred’s words you Yabba-Dabba-Don’t want to miss this one.
