Lazy Oaf at London Collections: Men SS14
As twenty thirteenâs cruel summer continues to drag, this week we hit fast-forward to fourteen at the BFCâs London Collections: Men. Each show offered us a refreshing spin on classic menswear, as heavy duty layering and utility shapes were revamped with futuristic fluoros and beady eyed flamingos. Armed with a camera and more coconut water than Rhi Rhiâs fridge, we present you with some of our highlights from the week. 1. ALEX MATTSSON Kicking things off with an all mighty bang, Alex Mattsson presented us with a camouflage filled collection, with the help of Tumblr favourite braided babe Brooke Candy. The self-proclaimed freaky princess taught us Londoners a thing or two about getting RATCHET at the Red Bull Catwalk studios. You can download their collaboration track here. 2. KATIE EARY Katie Earyâs collection was a feast for the eyes fusing corals with cheetah prints and Fudge hairâs unique flamingo hair styling. Skaters take note, real men can pull off pink. 3. CHRISTOPHER SHANNON Christopher Shannon presented us with playful PVC two-pieces complimented with hypnotic monochrome prints and Kickers shoes. We were totally mesmerised by the rainbow glitter hair styling. 4. FAMOUS FACES The rather dapper Reggie Yates and David Gandy, turned up looking slicker than your average at Spencer Harts seventies-inspired show. 5. STYLE CRUSHES Our style crush of the week is, hands down, miss Mademoiselle Yulia. The Japanese DJ stole our street styler hearts with mermaid hair and a brave mix of over sized menswear and pastels.
