Lazy Oaf at London Fashion Week: The Parties
Aside from the catwalk shows, front rows and street styling, one of the biggest parts of London Fashion Week are the parties put on by magazines and clothing labels in various venues across London. Highlights for us came from Dazed & Confused Magazines I.T Take Over at department store Selfridges and label Bas Kosters SS14 presentation in Angel Islington's Electrowerkz. Bringing some light to a dark and stormy Friday evening, Dazed & Confused teamed up with I.T brands to transform Selfridges' street department into the ultimate party complete with helium balloons lining the ceilings, male models serving champagne and an array of guest DJs and performers; we got there just in time to see Zebra Katz. The party also presented collections from seven I.T x Selfridges labels and attracted a selection of celebrity guests including Noel Fielding and Chloe Norgaard. On Monday, we hopped, skipped and jumped over to Angel's Electrowerkz to go and check out a fashion presentation by Bas Kosters Studio. Not our average Monday evening, we were treated to tequila cocktails, sunflower face cupcakes and pick n' mix filled fruit and veg that looked like they had come straight from the set of a Muppets film. Aptly titled The Munchies, we watched food themed designs fill the stage to the sounds of Fast Food Rockers with girls throwing Monster Munch into the crowd and boys dancing with baguettes. The show ended with a cuddly pig wheeled onto the stage and a girl dressed as a pig climbing out! All photos by Lazy Oaf. DAZED & CONFUSED X I.T. X SELFRIDGES.
We bumped into the lovely London's Closet girls Shope and Shore.
We posed with our fave balloons wearing designs from our forthcoming Winter '13 collection with Jerry in the Feline Fine Dress and Emily profiling the Weirdo Dress both coming soon...
BAS KOSTERS SS14 PRESENTATION.Aimee enjoyed the creamy Desire 4 Food cupcakes wearing the Stick Em Up Shirt and No Parking Parka.
Googly eyed fruit and veg sweety bags.
We loved the poptastic, food themed DJ set from Alexis Knox.
