Epping Forest, London

Chingford to Theydon Bois

"A go-to route when I've got a good few hours to spare. Get off at Chingford Overground and walk up through Epping Forest to Theydon Bois, it's about 2.5 hours station to station if you don't get lost. These were from a sunny day in October so there were mushrooms EVERYWHERE and the leaves were turning all sorts of colours."

Glen Clova, Scotland


"Glen Clova in Angus, Scotland is an amazing walk all year round. In one day you can climb two Munros. The hike is filled with forest, waterfalls and amazing wildlife, If you’re lucky you might even spot a bald eagle. If you have any energy left after your descent, you can climb to the highest Loch in Scotland (Loch Brandy) then finish your day off with some amazing local food at the Glen Clova Hotel, or even rent your own private lodge (hot tub included) and stay the night. "

Winchelsea, Sussex


"At around 5 miles, it feels like you’re getting some exercise without fear of death by exhaustion. There are tons of sheep, a railway track to cross and a large part of the walk is alongside a stream, so very picturesque...It's also only a 10 minute drive from Rye so you can take in all the loveliness there, all in a day!."

Highgate Wood, London


"This is my favourite walk in London anytime of the year following an old railway from Finsbury Park to Highgate, it’s nice and green and always gets some lovely sunlight through the trees. It also passes through Crouch End and Highgate so there are plenty of good spots to stop off for a coffee or a pint."

Wistmans Wood, Devon


"This wood is like something out of a fairytale - miniature oak trees and boulders covered in rich green moss that sparkles in the dappled sunlight. The rest of the 1.5 hour circuit isn't bad either with killer views and a couple of streams and tors thrown in for good measure and like all good walks, ends at a pub."

"The toon has some lovely scenic areas for walking - this being one of them, beside the river Tyne. My favourite walks are the ones alongside some water as they make me feel super relaxed and refreshed."

"Sometimes getting out of bed in the morning, in January, in the rain, in a lockdown is the worst. So, sometimes you just can’t beat the two minute walk to get your favourite chocolate bar & a can of coke."
