See You Next Tuesday: Chicken Legs, Bunny Nails and Dog Parades
Welcome to this weeks latest installment of See You Next Tuesday where the Lazy Oaf team fill you in on the things that have caught our eye or got us talking in the office over the past 7 days. This week we've been theorising Disney Pixar, picking at chickens and sitting front row at dog shows. 1. INTERNET SENSATIONS: The Pixar Theory. If you're planning to go and see Monsters University while it's still at the cinemas then we'd recommend checking out this website beforehand. Inspired by an article written by Jon Negroni, the site discusses the theory that all Disney Pixar films in fact exist in the same universe, each representing a different period of time. Reading this has made us want to go home and watch every film back-to-back in chronological order. 2. FOOD FAVOURITES: Nice Bird. If your bored of waiting to get enough stamps to warrant a free chicken at Nandos then give up already and head on down to Mark Hix's Tramshed restaurant in Hoxton, London. Yesterday office bloke Paul dined out on an entire chicken (feet included) with a healthy side of chips and sauces. We'd recommend the melting marshmallow and salted caramel for dessert. 3. WINDOW SHOPPING: Rabbit Rabbit. Following the success of our The Illustrated Nail salon in store on Thursday night, our nail art obsession is going from strength to strength and this week it comes in the form of these beautiful bunny illustrated extensions all the way from Japan. We guess now's a good time to tell you that we're going to be launching our very own Lazy Oaf nail wraps early next month! Dream. Come. True. 4. MEDIA MATTERS: Best in Show. Office gal Jerry has just returned from a weekend of mud wrestling and paint fighting at Secret Garden Party and aside from swooning over Jarvis Cocker, one of her highlights has to be the festivals annual Dog Show. Festival goers old and new paraded their four-legged friends along a cat..sorry we mean dogwalk and the audience voted for their favourites. Monty the lion-like Labrador stole the show and took first place however our hearts were melted by this runner-up Schnauser proving that beards and berets are a winning combination.
