This is How You Do It: Queen Michelle
We have been following the wise words of Queen Michelle and Queen Marie on the blog Kingdom of Style for many moons so it only seemed natural that we would team up for a special Lazy Oaf feature.
We got Glasgow girl Michelle Haswell to style her favourite designs from our AW12 collection, the Real Happy Black Jumper and Dropout Bobble Hat, creating two completely contrasting and equally stylish looks.
What's your name, where do you come from and what do you do?
My name is Michelle Haswell and I come from Glasgow. I co-edit a blog called Kingdom of Style. I'm also a graphic designer, ballet dancer and guest designer for Scottish label Jaggy Nettle.
Talk us through your Lazy Oaf look:
I absolutely loved this quirky jumper and wanted it to be the focus of my outfit, so I combined it with some little crochet shorts, opaque tights and platforms. It's snuggly warm!
Tell us about 5 things you're loving right now:
1. Elementary - loving this show! A new take on the classic Sherlock Holmes story. 2. My new coat - it's my latest design for Jaggy Nettle and I'm addicted to it. 3. Parallax scrolling - I want to design every site to have parallax scrolling! 4. Pastel barrel bags from Zatchels - seriously lusting over these pretty pastel bags. 5. Lingerie - the Suzy bralette from Hopeless Lingerie is high on my love list.
What do you have planned for the festive season?
Going up to the North East of Scotland to relax with the in-laws and basically eat my own weight in homemade steak pie!
