Welcome to Tokyo Lazy Land!
Last week we left London to fly out to our favourite kawaii capital Tokyo where we teamed up with Delta to open our first ever Japanese pop-up store! Located besides some of our favourite Japanese labels in the Laforet department store in the heart of Harajuku, our pop-up shop opened to the public from Friday 23/10. Customers travelled from across Japan to visit the store and pick up pieces from our AW'15 and Casper collections as well as exclusive designs including our 'Tokyo Lazy Land' T-shirt. Customers also got to meet our head designer and founder Gemma Shiel on the opening day and enjoyed getting snapped alongside our cloud covered cash desk and spherical party balloons. Following the opening of the store, we invited friends of the brand to join us for a VIP launch party at the rainbow world of Harajuku's Kawaii Monster Cafe. Guests posed next to the cafe's infamous pink, cartoon cat whilst sampling their signature dish of multi-coloured spaghetti. Friends of the brand to join us on the night included DJ and brand owner of Fig & Viper Alisa Ueno, thai beauty influencer Peary Pie, Youtube star Kemio, musician twins AMIAYA, singer Una and ASOBISYSTEM model Ren. We also hung out with Little Sunny Bite owner Yoppy, photographer Piczo, designer Una Monster, artists Bunny Bissoux, Charlotte Mei and Yukika, the Spiral Toy Store team and magazine Drop Tokyo. The Lazy Oaf pop-up shop is open until this Sunday 01/11/15. Find us on the second floor of Laforet at HARAJUKU 1-11-6 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
