Posted by: Jerry
Last Thursday, the Lazy Oaf team headed on down to Hoxton's Great Eastern Street for the launch of the latest exhibition by Jon Boam and Matthew the Horse to take over the gallery space and store Nobrow.Running since 2008, Nobrow are an independent publishing platform for illustration and graphic artists, devoting their time to sourcing and promoting some of the best creatives out there. Their main focus is to produce limited edition runs of high quality, colour-rich books packed full of visually pleasing designs. They regularly hold exhibitions such as transforming Kingsland Road's Jaguar Shoes into an illustrated jungle and showing their works at Somerset House's Pick Me Up this Spring.
Their Great Eastern Street Store is where you can get hold of their broad selection of collectible books alongside postcards, prints, T-shirts and toys.

Totally fell in love with these tie-dye head prints by Matthew the Horse accompanied with fitting text with statements including 'Burn Down the Cyber Cafe'.

Jon Boam
We were all about the giant illustrations filling the walls by Jon Boam, I am particularly drawn to the big blue dog in a hat.

The walls are also lined with a series of Jon's colourfully hand rendered illustrations which appear to be telling a story of a dangerous expedition into a land of the unknown.
